Gunvor Trading Ltd.

Gunvor Trading was incorporated as Rhine & Raavi Agro in 2003 for marketing, distribution, and trading of FMCG products, beverages, and Agri commodities across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

The Company had the privilege of being appointed as the sole distributor for InBev SA Belgium, world’s largest brewer for their flagship beer brand Stella Artois in India, by launching it in the niche segment in 2004. The successful positioning of this prime brand in India led to adding of a few more speciality beer brands by InBev, namely Hoegaarden, Leffe etc. Boosted with the growing demand of their brands, the hard work of our company paved the way for InBev’s management to set up their own operations through a JV partnership in India, which has been in place since 2010/2011.

An empowered, well integrated sales as well as logistic team along with professional warehousing facilities, encouraged the company to venture into the distribution of wide array of premium wines in 2005, which also coincided with the growing consumer awareness in India for this segment. Our focus markets being the Indian duty-free and overseas. The success in growing volume encouraged us to expand our marketing network and gave us the confidence to help build up brands for other reputable companies in various territories.

We also had the privilege of being appointed the duty-free distributors for Pernod Ricard India between 2005 and 2009. We can proudly state that the the brands were given a lot of volume business due to the hardworking team. In a short span the company became a successful multi-brand distribution and trading house. The client portfolio comprised of reputable hotels, restaurants, airlines, foreign missions and other duty free outlets across India.

Subsequently, in the face of growing opportunities and not wanting to rest on our laurels, the company changed its structure in 2007/2008 and became a holding company. This change allowed the company to bifurcate the various business lines and create some subsidiaries. This allowed us to become a multi-functional group.

Today, the company is freely trading in the overseas market as well as the Indian market. We have been registering continuous growth.

The Company primarily trades in FMCG products and beverages like beers/alcohol/energy / soft drinks etc. The FMCG division has sales operations for high seas sales in Singapore, Europe, and the Middle East apart from India.
